We teach our trainees to become the best person they can be, testing their limits and making hard exercises enjoyable to undertake. We enjoy coaching our pupils and watching their skills grow. We love making our hard workers feel at home!


JEFF HASLAM


Jeff's passion for boxing has never waned. With dreams of becoming world champion, he started his career with 5 1st round knockouts and fought at State and National levels in his first year of competing.

With KO wins over Australian championships and International competitions - fights were few and far between. Life and survival got in the way of Jeff's promising career.

His dream of having his own gym and creating Boxing champions has been fulfilled.
With nearly 40 years of boxing experience, Jeff has trained State and National competitors and has International experience. Jeff has had immense enjoyment with his personal boxing training having instilled confidence, fitness, and belief in people of all walks of life.

Jeff is amusing and a humourous trainer here and is always looking for ways for his trainees to improve. Jeff focuses on our technique and teaches us the perfect methods to make us the best boxers we can be.

DEEPAK BASRAI



Deepak Basrai is the two-time Australian Heavyweight Champion + winner of multiple State Titles + King of the Ring Championships. Deepak has fought all but a couple of his early fights under Jeff Haslam and has brought his unique style & training skills to Get Smart Boxing.
 
Deepak is humble and a very lovable guy who gets along with everybody. This, and his ability to get the best out of every client is why Jeff rates him as an incredible trainer and an invaluable asset to Get Smart Boxing.

Deepak is amazing at teaching his educators and enjoys being around them. Deepak engages with us and tries to make us the best boxers we can be. Deepak has a passion for teaching others and watching them flourish. His unique fighting style aids him in being a fantastic coach, and his ability to make those around him laugh and smile is infectious.
