Makeup Hacks
Are you tired of messing up your makeup or not having the right products? You're in luck. This blog is all about makeup hacks and will guide you to making the perfect solution just for you. Here are 9 hacks that will definitely help you along the way to becoming a makeup master.
The hooded eyeliner
TIP: this look is preferably used for people with hooded eyes.
This eyeliner hack works best on hooded eyes, especially since most of the time our eyeliner gets lost. Because your eyes are hooded, you would need to overline to make the perfect wing shape when your eyes are open. Instead of following a straight line and connecting it the way we were always taught, you’ll have to make a line and then bring it over just a bit, creating a minor batwing at the end of your eye. If you like your eyeliner longer than usual all you need to do is bring the end of the batwing up as far as you want.

Blush before foundation
TIP: do not use any lipsticks that could stain your face.
This hack is for people who want a natural blush look that makes you look like you are glowing naturally. This hack is very good for saving time because you'll never have to worry about over blushing. In this hack, you’ll apply your entire base routine except for foundation (primer, concealer, contour and highlighter). Apply your primer then grab a red lipstick or a creme blush and apply it over your nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead and blend so it covers the areas where it was put. Next apply your concealer, contour and highlighter over the blended ‘blush’ and blend as you normally would. Now is the time where you apply your foundation over the base, creating a look that shows a natural glow. There are no streaks of lines of blush or bronzer and it looks really pretty and radiant. This trick is perfect for anyone with dry skin who worries that their makeup will look cakey.

Moisturizer
Don't have a primer? This is perfect for you, primer is pretty expensive and sometimes goes to waste when it is used too much. Instead of a primer, I use an even layer of moisturizer. Moisturizer is a substitute for primer and has the same effect, moisturizer leaves your makeup looking fabulous and streak-free. Even though primer is made for makeup products to be stacked on top of each other moisturizer allows you to have a smooth application and moisturizes your face at the same time.
What is the difference between primer and moisturizer?
Primer is like a barrier between your skin and the makeup products. Moisturizer can help stop natural oils from mixing with your makeup products.

Colour theory
TIP: this hack is all about trial and error to finding your foundation shade so please do not try if you have sensitive skin.
The colour theory hack is supposed to conduct your perfect foundation colour! To construct your perfect foundation you will need to blend a combination of white/black, red, blue and yellow pigments by applying it to your face. It takes a bit of time to create your foundation and the right combination of colours to make the ideal foundation for your skin tone and undertone. First, apply white or black creme (depending on your skin colour) onto your face in little pea sizes covering your face leaving your eyes and lips uncovered. Leave room for the other colours. Now dot on your yellow evenly across your face. If you have a dark undertone add a few extra yellow dots. Add red dots and add more if you have a cooler undertone and now add your blue dots. Before everything, blend your dots by swirling all the colours together to mix your foundation shade.
Concealer facelift
This hack is very reliable for lifting your face creating that perfect faced shape. Instead of applying your concealer in the shape of a triangle, place your concealer just below the inner corner of your eye and the end of it creating a curve with a space in between them. If you feel that your eyes look tired using this hack will create the illusion that your face is nice and curved. To apply use a small amount of concealer and place the concealer under you inner corner of your eye and the side of your nose creating a natural contour, then apply it on the outside corner of your eye use a wand or a concealer brush to swipe the product in a diagonal line and in an upwards direction.

Soapy brows
TIP: use a bar soap not liquid.
Do you want fluffy, brushed up brows? Using a bar of soap to straighten up your eyebrows will be your new solution. To do this hack, first, you need to spray your spoolie with a facial mist to dampen the spoolie so it is easy to apply the soap to the spoolie and to get off any extra products. Rub the spoolie against the soap letting the soap apply itself on the spoolie. Now take your spoolie and brush it against your eyebrows in an upwards direction, if you're looking for a specific shape using the back of the spoolie to shape it and always brush up. Drying your eyebrows won't be an issue since it dries in less than 3 mins. Now we will need to fill our eyebrows in with an eyebrow pencil making sure we don't rip the dried soap off (this step is optional).

Eyeshadow lip liner
Are you looking for a certain colour of lip liner? This hack will allow you to create your own custom liner. This hack is so simple and easy that you'll want to do this all the time. All you'll need is your eyeshadow colour of choice, lip balm, lip gloss and a small brush. First, you’ll want to moisturize your lips with lip balm to create a smooth texture on your lips. Then wait around 2-3 mins before adding lip gloss, then comes the hack. Dip your liner brush in any colour eyeshadow and use it to line your lips. Press your lips together to create a gradient effect.

Liquid liner hack
TIP: do not use it if you have sensitive eyes.
This hack will definitely do you a goodie if you have run out of eyeliner and you desperately need it. You'll need a drop of mixing medium and an eyeshadow colour of your choice. To find a perfect liner that is affordable and looks amazing could take weeks but this hack will change those weeks into 10 minutes. All you need to do is combine a drop of mixing medium and a scrap of eyeshadow of your choice. Mix with your lining pencil and watch as the 2 ingredients mix creating a colourful liquid. Now it's time to make your makeup pop with your DIY liquid liner.

Toothbrush Freckles
TIP: please use an unused toothbrush.
Do you want to spruce up your makeup with false freckles but don’t know how? Luckily I have a bold solution. Toothbrushes have small and thin Brussels that unknowingly creates the perfect amount of freckles. First, you will want to dampen your toothbrush so the eyeshadow will stick on better. Next, dip the toothbrush into a brown eyeshadow and apply it to your face. Keep the freckles on your nose and on top of your cheekbone. Make sure your freckles are in a curved direction heading close to the end of your eyebrow. If you like, you can add a few freckles leading up to the middle of your eyebrow.
