Acts 4:1 - 22 | The first Christians persecution and the apostles reply with confidence, boldness, confrontation of sin, and the good news gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Persecution: Putting yourself in danger from spreading the word of God.
Wisdom: It is wisdom that speaks of those things that God has prepared for those who love him.
Understanding: Enable one is see more deeply into the mysteries of the faith and judge with certainly all created things.
Counsel: Is the perfection of the cardinal virtue of prudence.
Fortitude: It gives us the strength to follow through on the actions suggested by the gift of counsel.
Knowledge: Is the actual ab]ility to judge all things according to the truth.
Piety: Is the perfection of the virtue of religion.
Fear Of The Lord: A fear of punishment.
Martyr: A person who voluntarily suffers death as the penalty of witnessing to and refusing to renounce religion.
Persecution: Hostility and ill-treatment, especially because of race or political or religious beliefs, oppression.
Sin: An immortal act considered to be a transgression against divided law.
Repentance: The action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse.
Forgiveness: The action of forgiving or being forgiven.
Reconciliation: The restoration of friendly relations.
The Beatitudes -
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourned, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
10 Commandments -
The ten commandments help guide the Catholics to live by allowing them to follow the commandments
You shall have no other Gods before me.
You shall not make idols.
You shall not take name of the Lord your God in vain.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.
Holy Week -
Palm Sunday:
Palm Sunday is a Christian moveable feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter.
Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem.
During Parm Sunday, palm branches were placed in his path.
The importance of the Palm Sunday symbol ( palm ) is the ultimate victory of Christ has his sacrifice.
Holy Thursday -
Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the washing of the feet.
Holy Thursday was important because he was washing the sins of his disciples.
During Holy Thursday the last supper.
Bread and wine, washing of the feet.
Institution of the priesthood.
Good Friday -
Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at calvary.
A significant day for the Christian community since it commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
It commemorates Jesus Christ's passion, crucifixion, and death.
Hot cross buns are a traditional food for Good Friday.
Jesus was crucified on a cross.
Easter Vigil -
Easter Vigil is a liturgy held in traditional Christian churches.
The first official celebration of the resurrection of Jesus.
An easter fire is kindled and the paschal candle is blessed and then lit.
Five grains of license are embedded in the candle.
Mary was Jesus’ first and perfect disciple, Mary was a mother of Messiah, Jesus Christ, and of the savior of the world. She was willing, faithful, and loved God with all her heart.
